Dorfkrug Bar & Grill
Dorfkrug Kampen, a historic restaurant and bar on Sylt, partnered with OLEX to refine their corporate identity and create a new website. We blended tradition with modern design, crafted a custom logo, and developed digital assets and menus to enhance their brand.
Once known as the “Rotes Schiff,” Dorfkrug Kampen has been a landmark in the heart of historic Kampen for over 130 years. First mentioned in 1876, this renowned venue has long been a gathering spot for locals, travelers, and artists from around the world, earning a reputation far beyond the island and even Germany.
The challenge for OLEX was to bring to life the vision of the new, younger owners, who wanted a fresh identity while preserving the rich heritage of this beloved institution. Typography became a key focus as we sought to strike the perfect balance between old and new.
As we refined the identity, we carefully planned its wide-ranging applications. These included a custom metal-built logo for the building’s facade, plated wall elements, printed materials such as bar, wine, and food menus, and a comprehensive suite of digital assets for their online presence.
